Our client, a leading bank, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join their team as Chief Internal Auditor. The primary objective of this role is to provide independent and objective reviews, including consulting services, risk management, control, and governance processes across financial, operational, and information technology areas. The Chief Internal Auditor will play a crucial role in assisting the Board of Directors in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of bank operations.

Experience	10 Years
Education Level	Degree
Qualifications	At least 10 years experience in Internal Audit of which at least 5 years should be at Head of Department level preferably in the Banking Sector;
Software	Job related
Knowledge Of	Banking and Financial Services corporate governance directives
Skills To	High level of business acumen and integrity
Ability To	Good understanding of Internal Audit trends
Other Requirements	Must have knowledge of risk-based internal audit

Requirements

Conduct independent and objective reviews of financial, operational, and information technology areas.
Provide consulting services to enhance risk management, control, and governance processes.
Assess compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement audit plans, methodologies, and procedures to ensure thorough coverage of all relevant areas.
Identify areas for improvement and recommend practical solutions to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks
Communicate audit findings and recommendations effectively to senior management and the Board of Directors
Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and track progress towards achieving desired outcomes
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory developments to ensure audit practices remain current and effective
