To ensure effective operational accounting and reliability of financial reporting, and help lead the finance team. The role needs to also partner with the organization's senior managers and other stakeholders in identifying and managing business risk.

Education Level	Degree
Qualifications	Accountancy degree, Full ZICA, ACCA or other comparable professional accounting qualification
Software	Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Knowledge Of	Accounting principles and procedures, US GAAP knowledge is a plus
Skills To	Project management
Ability To	Demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, US GAAP knowledge is a plus
Other Requirements	Knowledge of Zambian tax law, corporate governance, and company statutory requirements

Requirements

Supervise a team of chief accountants across the company’s multiple locations
Monitor general ledger and sub ledger accounts for accuracy and integrity
Assume responsibility for revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and cost accounting
Organize operational accounting functions, such as stock take and weighing bridge operation
Support month-end and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial information
Identify business inefficiencies and financial risks, and work on solutions
Maintain key operational process controls and ERP user permissions
Ensure OFAC checks are performed on all customer and vendor accounts
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Support annual internal and external audits
Train, coach, and mentor members of the accounting team
