Job vacancy Data Scientist

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement advanced prescriptive content recommendation models using various statistical, machine learning, and data mining techniques.
• Perform data preprocessing tasks such as cleansing, discretization, imputation, and feature engineering to ensure high-quality inputs for model building.
• Access and manipulate big data, as well as both relational and non-relational data sources, to acquire data at the necessary granularity for specific analytical objectives.
• Work closely with engineering teams to deploy real-time and automated batch data science solutions in a production environment.
•  Actively contribute to improving the machine learning lifecycle infrastructure and codebase, participating fully in team activities and collaborative efforts.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience in applying advanced data science algorithms such as neural networks, SVM, random forests, gradient boosting machines, k-means++, deep learning, or reinforcement learning.
•  Demonstrable expertise in at least three classes of advanced algorithms.
•  Prior experience with live recommender systems and their implementation.
• Proficiency in deep learning frameworks, preferably TensorFlow.
• Proven track record in implementing scalable, distributed, and highly available systems on Google Cloud Platform.
• Competence with Google AI Platform/Vertex AI, Kubeflow, and Airflow.
• Strong skills in data processing with SQL, Python and PySpark.

Desired Characteristics:

• Solid understanding of the computational complexity involved in model training and inference, especially in the context of real-time and near real-time applications.
• Experience handling multi-billion record datasets and a good grasp of enterprise-level digital analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
• Familiarity with the management and analysis of large-scale video assets.
• A team player with a collaborative mindset who is eager to learn and apply new methods and tools.
•  A sense of pride and ownership in your work, along with the ability to represent your team confidently to other departments.
