Background

United Bank for Africa Zambia (UBAZ) is a subsidiary of UBA Plc a Nigerian based bank with a network of over 700 branches strategically spread across Nigeria, London, New York, Cayman Island and has subsidiaries in 19 African countries.

UBA Zambia Ltd commenced business in January 2010. The Bank is a private limited liability company and is incorporated under the Companies Act, 1994 (as amended) and domiciled in the Republic of Zambia. The Bank is licensed to conduct commercial banking services under the Zambian Banking and Financial Services Act, 1994 (as amended).

The Bank has 5 branches; three (3) situated in the capital city of Lusaka and Two (2) on the Copperbelt province. The Bank during the year made a number of key strategic alliances with partners in the private and public sectors including the Government.

The Bank offers a wide range of banking products and financial services to corporate, retail and government agencies through a variety of delivery channels in public sector, our specialized subsidiaries and affiliates companies in the areas of investment banking, retail banking and Private banking.

The Bank also provides services covering financial institutions, sovereign and multinational organizations by originating, selling, structuring debt instruments, foreign exchange and money market products.
