Construction Project Manager

I was responsible for all construction activities and commissioning of the whole project. (Design and Built project)

Tasked with overall project construction supervision from design conception to construction phase. Responsibilities included review of structural drawings, MEP packages and Design preparation in line with RFP requirements and standards. I also liaised with a variety of high level stakeholders, including government representatives.

I was responsible for the execution and refurbishment / Retrofit of a Guest Palace package, Monitoring the G+7 construction Progress and construction of two mosques packages. I monitors and enforced company project safety policies, schedule, quality, construction management and administrative activities / Closing out project. I also coordinated with different trades. My role involved attending weekly progress meetings and communicating consistently with stakeholders.

Client: BP
For this EPC & PMC contract, I was responsible for execution of construction and supervision work packages within Infrastructure packages, Labour Camp supervision and execution, Well Pad and pipes installation, execution and associated roads, residential and office permanent buildings. I monitored and enforced company project safety policies and work rules of assigned BP contractors. My role also involved identifying potential issues, conflicts and interference then addressing these issues. Closing out project.

48000 m3 Industrial Waste Water Treatment Plant (Yanbu - KSA).
Position held: Project Manager
Client: Marafiq
It is an EPC contract for 48000 m3 Industrial Waste Water Treatment Plant (Yanbu - KSA). Project value is over than $130 Mil, (Client: Marafiq Power and Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu KSA).
Duties include the followings but are not limited to: managing design review and deliverables, construction management including preparing monthly progress reports, analyzing construction schedule, following up on specification implementation and safety procedures. I also participated in the planning and scheduling of the project, monitor the project progress, address shortfalls, develop recovery plans where required and ensure plans made are implemented. Ensure that all QC documents / check lists related to pre-commissioning / commissioning are in place prior to commencement of respective activities.

2000 m3/day experimental Reverse Osmosis Plant (RO)
Position held: Project / Construction Manager
Client: Dow Chemical

It is an EPC contract. Dow Chemical Saudi Arabia is developing a new R & D (Sea Water Pilot Plant) center in cooperation with King Abdullah University of Science & Technology in Saudi Arabia. This R & D center will concentrate on evaluating existing membrane performances to develop new membrane types for product development. This sea water pilot plant is built on skid units in modular sections and then installed in an existing building on the KAUST campus.
I was responsible for overall project supervision and execution of all activities of the project. Ranging from modification of an existing building and its infrastructure and installation of an 80 m3/hour experimental Reverse Osmosis Plant (RO). Also, my duties Involved managing the main contractor, Review Architectural and Structural Drawings and implement safety procedures, coordinate and liaise with multiple sub-contractors for different disciplines (Electrical & Mechanical, Fire Fighting and Security System work), preparation of weekly and monthly reports, commissioning and handing over the project. Ability to work across different disciplines and cultures, good communication & time management and Closing out project skills. Project value is over $25 Mil.
Major development Project in KAUST

Client: ARAMCO

It is a GES+, Forensic Services and PMSS contract for the modification and upgrading of over 2000 villas, existing buildings and design and supervision of new 400 units. Duties Involved managing the contractor, Review Architectural, MEP, Structural Drawings, implementing safety procedures, coordinate and liaise with contractors and client, preparation of weekly and monthly reports and monitor the execution of all activities of the projects at site and Closing out project.
Project value is over $2Bln., (client: Saudi Aramco – KAUST-KSA).

Client: US Navy
In this varied and fast-paced role, I was responsible for two key projects, one for the US Navy (NAVFAC), the other commissioned by a 4 star hotel. Both roles required extensive communication with stakeholders. I was tasked with preparing monthly progress reports, tender preparation and contract negotiation and Closing out project. My role also required hands-on management of projects scope issues, risks, communications, QA, QC, and safety plans and procedures. These large scale projects costed in excess of $100,000,000.00.

I was responsible for managing the office on day to day business. My experience ranges from Residential Homes & Villas, Town Houses, multi-story units, Storm Water & Wastewater design and commercial / Industrial projects. I was managing the quality assurance and quality controls, design reviews for structural and civil designs (Storm water & wastewater) and projects construction supervision and sign off and Closing out project.
Other duties included: project cost estimation, consultation with stakeholders, obtaining relevant building permits & approvals, project co-ordination, general administration and tender processing. Ensured that all design and safety reviews were properly performed, documented and actioned.
