Our client in the Electrical Mining and Telecoms Supplies is looking for an External Sales Rep to join their team;
Duties and responsibilities include but are not subject to;
- Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers.
- Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers on a daily basis.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and already existing customers as allocated.
- Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts.
- Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally.
- Sell the company’s products or services to customers within your given territory.
- Monitor the company’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer's specific needs.
- Investigate problems; prepare reports; develop solutions and make recommendations to management to resolve customer complaints.
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
- Achieve agreed upon Sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
- Answering customer queries, informing them of delays, and arranging delivery dates.
- Records keeping of customer inquiries and sales
- Handling orders via phone or email and checking that the orders have the correct prices, discounts, and product numbers.
- Inputting orders, ensuring they are processed according to customer requirements, and ensuring all orders are accurate and delivered on time.
- Preparing and publishing timely daily and weekly external sales reports.

Key Qualifications;
- Grade 12 School Certificate
- Diploma or better in Sales and Marketing/Business Administration/Electrical Engineering
- Basic knowledge of electrical goods will be an added advantage.
- Sound understanding and experience of the principles and practice in Sales and management.
- Proven sales experience in Mining supply companies Minimum 3 years Sales experience in the Zambian Mining industry. NO CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED WITHOUT THIS REQUIREMENT.
- Able to clearly demonstrate the aptitude to drive a light vehicle and hold a valid Zambian drivers licence.
