Our client, one of the leading agricultural equipment dealers is seeking to recruit for the role of Parts Counter Salesperson. The position is responsible for managing parts operations within the dealership to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control.

QualificationsDiploma or technical qualification in Mechanic/ Agricultural Mechanics/Machinery Parts or related field
SoftwareComputers and computer capabilities for inventory, record keeping, parts information, etc.
Knowledge OfParts pricing procedures and of new models, based on technical service bulletins and surveys
Skills ToEstablishing and maintaining good relationships with customers and to exceed their expectations
Ability ToMaintain proper parts inventory levels, to do proper posting, and to measure true turns
Other RequirementsExperience working with combine harvester, tractors, sprayers, planters
Requirements
  • Develop, communicate, enforce, and monitor effective parts department processes to ensure internal and external customers
  • Promote and merchandise parts and accessories in conjunction with other store locations
  • Create annual parts department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives
  • Develops and executes parts department marketing plan and monitors monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goals
  • Maintain an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory and proper counter procedures
  • Responsible for creating customer friendly retail environment within the parts department, which includes promotional marketing, merchandising of showroom, and reinforcing excellent customer service skills among direct reports.
  • Assist in the management of dealer/technical representative service, maintenance training and dealer’s customer installation process
