- Legal interpretation: Interprets key statutes, Regulations and other pieces of key legislation, which have a bearing in carrying out the core business of the Company.
- Defend and represent DCPZ in all matters before courts of Law working with our external lawyers.
- Undertake effectively capacity building for evidence collection and the review of intention to prosecute documentation in order to facilitate prosecution or defence.
- Undertake effectively litigation of cases against the Dangote Cement Zambia in order to protect the interests of the Company.
- Undertake effectively the provision of legal advice to the Board and Management of Dangote Cement Zambia in order to facilitate adherence to the law.
- Drafting and review of business contracts and other legal documents in order to safeguard the interest of the Dangote Cement Zambia.
- Provision of secretarial services to the board in order to ensure smooth conduct of business
- Undertake effectively the review of draft regulations in order to ensure their quality and conformity to statutes
- Collection and maintenance of Court judgments and other legal documents that will serve as central depository library.
- Any other duty as may be assigned by the Country Head or Regional Head of Legal Services. .
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB)
- Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent
- Advocate of the High Court of Zambia and Member of LAZ with at least 5 experience years post Qualifying to the bar.
- Valid legal Practicing Certificate
- Ability to write comprehensive technical reports, legal opinions and legal drafting.
- Fluency in official language
- Minimum of three (5) years progressive and relevant experience.
