Our client is looking to recruit an individual who will be able to highlight and manage major revenue streams in order to address and prevent leakages and fraud to ensure compliance with process, and legislation for their organisation.

QualificationsDegree-Finance or Chartered Accountant or ACCA or equivalent
Softwarebilling systems, IN and network elements like MSCs.( Experience on ability, Huawei network elements and Huawei IN would be added advantage)
Knowledge OfStrong understanding of telecom revenue cycle, processes, network elements and systems involved
Skills ToPeople management and leadership skills
Ability ToMinimise revenue and margin leakage
Other RequirementsFlexible to travel ( Local/international) and work overtime when required.
  • Change in the global GSM market and maintaining a proactive stance in the future developments impacting o the billing and revenue assurance environments
  • Constantly changing business-Revenue Assurance is part of every product/ service, and is affected by every change
  • A need to understand the complexities of new technologies/ products and the impact of these on billing systems and PPP’s
  • Social financial environment across departments-Legal Sales, finance commercial credit , internal and external customers. Operating in a financial and managing accounting environment with strict regulatory controls and processes
  • Define a revenue assurance and fraud prevention strategy aligned with the overall organisation's stra
  • Develop a revenue assurance framework that encompasses the elements of people process, tools and Measurement to deliver revenue Assurance strategy
  • Contribution to, Challenge and implement the long term strategy for planning, control and business support function and ensure alignment of all activities undertaken in the unit to the strategy
  • Gain understanding of processes and various systems across all revenue streams of the company
  • Develop and implement controls to ensure adherence and compliance to policies and procedures pertaining to Revenue Assurance unit. Input into the development of a dashboard that indicates the performance of the various areas( interconnect, Fraud, RA)
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of the best practice revenue assurance benchmarking tool ( to reveal gaps between best practice and current company practice
  • Comply to audit requirements and ensure all non-compliances are dealt with
  • Oversee application of policies, processes, procedures and practices regarding fraud prevention. Check effectiveness of systems to tracking detect, prevent and resolve fraud situations
  • Drive the education of internal customers on the role of RA-through the RA governance forums- and how they may contribute. Co-develop and manage/coordinate a virtue revenue assurance team/structure comprising of a revenue assurance champions for each business unit
  • Build, develop and maintain customer relationships with key stakeholders. Meet with functions to build relationships and ensure all queries are responded to quickly
  • Ensure the accuracy of reports that measure revenue streams. Oversee the preparation of monthly RA reports
  • Forecast, plan, develop and review budget for the revenue assurance unit that provides the organisation with return on investment. Manage and optimize the budget, ensuring all expenditure is in line with the agreed budgets
  • Identify and exploit new opportunities to grow the business further
