Audit Junior

My primary responsibility as Audit Junior at BDO is to perform audits on clients financial statements in order to obtain a reasonable assurance about whether the clients financial statements are free from material misstatement and whether the misstatement is caused by error or fraud thereby recommending adequate controls to ensure validity and accuracy Auditing all sections.

Audit the sale of land for Zumran Mining and Exploration Ltd by Lombe Bwalya & Associates (Land Management Consulting Firm).
 Contract Management (coordinating land verification and coding, ensuring the contract have correct information of the buyers, change of ownership have been
transferred correctly for clients selling land due to failure of finishing payments outstanding and physical verification of land sold and available for sale.)
 Supervising payment of Property transfer tax (PTT tax).
Ensure adequate controls on expenditures and run credibility checks on relevant documentation for approval and receipts for accuracy, completeness and
correctness before preparing payment vouchers and issuing payments.
 Reconciling Debtors accounts to ensure accurate balances.
 Preparation of monthly reports.

Attached to the accounting department as an accounts assistant intern which
included responsibilities such as generating daily business performance reports,
monthly performance reports, budgeting Reports which are essential for decision making at management level.
 During my time here I also developed a good relationship working with young people and helped them with advice.
