MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the Canadian-African Education Partnership (CAEP) to advise and support students to reach their high levels of academic excellence so they develop the resilience and character to excel and contribute to society throughout their lives.
WHY CHOOSE FOUNDATION STEPS:
Ontario's Education System
-Offers Flexibility and Greater Opportunities
The education system of the Province of Ontario provides high-quality education and is designed to be student-centered, making it one of the most highly recognized systems by universities in UK, Canada, America and the world.
The programs at Foundation Steps Canadian International School have been carefully designed to take full advantage of the benefits of this system.
We take full advantage of Ontario's Secondary education system to offer courses on a semester and credit basis. Students need a minimum of 30 credits to complete their High School education and earn the Ontario High School Diploma. These will be accumulated during the three year course at Foundation Steps. Thus, students only have to complete the remaining courses needed to meet the outstanding credits in Canada.
This credit system, coupled with our semester programming, allows international and local students to pace their studies according to their academic ability and to take courses that match their personal interests.
OUR PHILOSOPHY:
We are committed to providing a high quality individualized education program through an active learning approach where students learn skills at their own level in ways meaningful to them. Each child is assessed on a continuous basis, monitored and helped to achieve higher levels.
We teach children to prepare for primary and secondary school as well as to grow socially, mentally, emotionally and physically. We are pleased to be a part of your child’s life and look forward to the growth we will see this year.
